Amazing phone design

Why the Flip Android Phone is the Future

A really neat concept phone was unveiled today. Designed by Kristian Ulrich Larsen, this triple-display Android phone is perhaps the most versatile piece of mobile technology we've ever seen. In the future, probably five or more years down the line, smarpthones will no longer be slab devices with fixed displays. We'll see flexible displays that can be folded into a smaller shape. It's also possible we'll see a technology that allows you to turn the smallish screen of your phone into the size of a desktop monitor, either through a projector, or some other technology. Smartphones will soon be so powerful that with one versatile device, most of our computing needs will be met.

The interesting aspect of the Flip Android phone is its versatility granted by the three displays that can be reconfigured for different applications. One side could act as a virtual input panel while one side is the screen with content, or you can use two or three of the displays as one larger screen, allowing you to see a web page in its full glory. Further, you could use two screens almost like dual monitors on your desktop computer to multitask: one screen has the web, one screen has a video or is showing your application tray. Or, you can use the bottom position the phone on a table so that two screens are exposed, allowing you to share content with a friend. The possibilities are pretty much endless.
